Italian Government scholarships for Postgraduate studies, 2011

Introduction:

Italian Government in the framework of Cultural Agreement existing between Italy and Pakistan, offering some scholarships to Pakistani citizens who wish to study in Italy during academic session 2011-12. The details are as under:

Eligibility Criteria:

        I.            The maximum of age is 35 years.

     II.            Has a completed / in possession of Masters Degree for PhD.

   III.            Has a completed / in possession of 4 years or equivalent Bachelors degree for Masters studies.

  IV.            Fulfilling specific admission requirements of admission in the selected institution / university.

     V.            Completes and submits the Online application form

Field of Study:

·         Engineering

·         Basic Scientific Research

·         Social Sciences

·         Short Course

·         Master studies

·         Research Studies

·         PhD Studies

Knowledge of Italian Language:

The knowledge of Italian language is necessary / indispensable. However, a candidate with inadequate knowledge of Italian language a may also be considered in the following circumstances:

·         If applicant intends to follow independent research studies, under the guidance of a Professor who should be willing to help him / her pursue his studies in English. In this regard, the candidate should obtain a letter of acceptance from a Professor of the Italian University where he intends to register himself/herself. The acceptance letter should indicate:

o   Title of the course

o   Entire duration of the course

o   Dates of commencement and conclusion of the course.

NOTE: Applications will not be processed for selection, if not accompanied by a Letter of Acceptance from the Italian University (previously chosen by the candidate) with the name of the referent Professor and his telefax / telephone numbers.

How to Apply:

1.      Fill ONLINE Italian Scholarship Application, do not forget to properly submit the form, from:

2.      After filling take out its print and attach the required documents mentioned below:

a.       Attested photocopies of all the academic certificates / degrees/ transcripts.

b.      Academic Bio-Data indicating percentage, marks obtained, total marks in each subject.

c.       Two letter of reference (each in duplicate) from concerned Pakistan university Authorities.

d.      Three photographs (one attested at the back)

e.       Copy of Applicants Passport / CNIC.

3.      Fill HEC Application form (Click Here to Download) and attach the copies of the same documents mentioned above.

4.      Do not attach both HEC and Online Italian Government Scholarship forms with each other. Keep them separate.

5.      The documents should be properly attached with the application forms and must be in tidy form.

6.      Send the application package to the address mentioned below before 2^nd May, 2011:
