Regional Center Karachi​​The Higher Education Commission’s Regional Centre, Karachi was established in 1974. Regional Center Lahore<p style="text-align:justify;"><strong>​​In pursuance of the controlling authorities, order dated April 13, 1976 and the commission resolution No; 11(ii) and 17 06 September 3, 1975 and May 20, 1976 respectively, the establishment of U.G.C Centre at Lahore w.e.f July 1, 1976 is hereby notified. Regional Centre Peshawar<p>HEC Regional Centre, Peshawar was established in 1976 at Rahatabad near University of Peshawar. It was shifted to its Hayatabad in 2008. </p><p>The core functions of this centre is to facilitate Institutions of Higher Learning in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and to provide wide range of HEC services to universities/Degree Awarding Institutions, faculty members, students as well as general public. </p><p>HEC Regional Center Peshawar is composed of two blocks i.e. Administration Block and Trainee Resident House (TRH) Block. The Administration Block includes Offices, Lecturer Hall, Video Conference Hall and Data Center which is the Centre of International Networking (internet) for all Provincial Public Sectors Universities of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Regional Center Quetta<p>​​​RC Quetta started to function on May 3, 2009. It is presently situated at House No 61-A Chaman Housing Scheme Airport Road Quetta.</p><p>The Regional Centre's primary role is to work as a liaison office between the regional institutions and the Higher Education Commission in Islamabad. It is assisting and coordinating the Higher Education Institutions in the province as the hub in promoting various programmes and projects initiated under different divisions and departments of the Commission. </p><p> </p><p>ACTIVITIES/FUNCTIONS:</p><ul><li>To attest degrees of the applicants.</li><li>To handle equivalence cases and provide guidelines to the students about equivalence certificates.</li><li>To organise capacity building trainings/workshops for the faculty members of HEIs and DAIs.</li><li>To coordinate with provincial education departments and other provincial departments on behalf of the HEC.</li><li>To coordinate and assist students and provide information regarding scholarship projects specifically tailored for Balochistan like Aghaz-e- Haqooq e Balochistan Project and Balochistan-FATA scholarship program.</li><li>To act as a bridge between universities of the province and HEC Islamabad.</li><li>To provide various information required by HEC about Higher Education in the province.</li></ul>Quetta;#Regional Center QuettaRegional Center Quettahttp://hec.gov.pk/english/aboutus/regionalcenters/Pages/RegionalCenterQuetta.aspx2016-06-15T19:00:00Z
