Question2: Which Deeni Asnad does HEC equate?
Answer:
HEC equates Deeni Asnad i.e. "Shahadatul Almiya Fil Uloomal Arabia wal
Islamia" and "Shahadatul Alia fil Uloomal Arabia wal Islamia" awarded
by ten approved Deeni institutions of erstwhile University Grants
Commission/Higher Education Commission (List available on HEC website).
Question3: I have a difference in details on educational documents. Can I get equivalence from HEC?
Answer: It is mandatory for applicants that Name and Father's Name, date of birth and all other details must be same on all educational documents and CNIC or Passport (in case of foreign national).
Question4: I
am an Afghan national. Is there any relaxation for me in case of change
in date of birth printed on my Deeni Asnad and Passport?
Answer:
Yes, for Afghan Nationals, birth year will be considered as mentioned
on Afghan Passport instead of complete date of birth including
date/month/year.
Question5: Are Regional Centers of HEC empowered to issue equivalence letters against Deeni Asnad?
Answer: No, Regional Centers of HEC are not empowered to issue equivalence letters to the applicants.
Question6: What is the fee for equivalence of Deeni Asnad?
Answer:
Rs. 2000/- (non-refundable) will be charged as equivalence fee against
each Deeni Sanad i.e. "Shahadatul Almiya Fil Uloomal Arabia wal Islamia"
and "Shahadatul Alia fil Uloomal Arabia wal Islamia"
Question7: I have done "Shahadatul Alia fil Uloomal Arabia wal Islamia" from HEC approved deeni madrassah/Wafaq. Is it equivalent to Bachelor Degree involving 14-year of schooling?
Answer:
Yes, HEC recognizes Sanad "Shahadatul Alia Fil Uloomal Arabia wal
Islamia" awarded by approved Deeni Institutions as equivalent to
corresponding Bachelor degree involving 14-year schooling subject to to
fulfilling following conditions:
- Valid and legible copy of CNIC
- Issuance of Equivalence by IBCC against Sanvia Aaama amd Sanvia Khasa as equivalent to Matric and Intermediate respectively.
- Passing conditional subjects i.e. English and Pakistan Studies at Bachelor (pass) level from HEC recognized University/DAIs.
- Equivalence fee of Rs 2000/- (non-refundable) deposited through challan form in favor of HEC income account.
Question8: I have done "Shahadatul Almiya fil Uloomal Arabia
wal Islamia" from HEC approved deeni madrassah/Wafaq. Is it equivalent
to MA Arabic/Islamic Studies involving 16-year of schooling?
Answer:
Yes, HEC recognizes Sanad "Shahadatul Almiya Fil Uloomal Arabia wal
Islamia" awarded by approved Deeni Institutions as equivalent to
corresponding
MA Arabic/Islamic Studies degree involving 16 years of
schooling subject to completion of following formalities for the
purpose of teaching and pursing higher studies.
- Verified
photocopies of all Asnad i.e. Sanvia Aaama, Sanvia Khasa, Shahadatul
Alia and Shahadatul Almiya along with Kashful Darajat by respective
approved Deeni Institution.
- Verified photocopies of Asnad Sanvia Aaama and Sanvia Khasa by IBCC
- Verified photocopy of Gazette Notification and E-02 application form for equivalence by respective approved Deeni Institution.
- Valid and legible copy of CNIC or passport in case of foreign national only

alongwith verified photocopies of all Asnad including Kashful Darjat and
photocopy of CNIC. Further, Sanad Sanvia Aaama and Sanad Sanvia Khasa
must be verified from Inter Board Committee of Chairmen (IBCC). Please
note that all original documents must also be submitted to HEC Head
office, Islamabad through TCS for endorsement of photocopies.
Question11: Is it mandatory for equivalence of Shahadatul Almiya to verify Sanvia Aaama and Sanvia Khasa from IBCC?
Answer:
Yes, it is mandatory that Sanad Sanvia Aama and Sanad Sanvia Khasa
including Kashful Darajat must be verified from IBCC before submitting
application proforma E-02 for equivalence of Sanad Shahadatul Almiya.
Further, original documents must also be submitted to HEC Head office,
Islamabad through TCS for endorsement of photocopies.

Answer: Following documents are required for Equivalence of Shahadatul Alia:
- Equivalence
Certificates issued by Inter Board Committee of Chairmen (IBCC) against
Deeni Asnad i.e. Shahadatul Sanvia Aama and Shahadatul Sanvia Khasa.
- Photocopies
of Sanad Shahadatul Alia fil Uloomal Arabia wal Islamia including

concerned Nazim-e-Aala of approved Deeni Institution.

Answer: No, HEC does not play any role in the process of recruitment or determining eligibility for any post.

No, the mandate of registration of Madaris rests with the Ministry of

Answer:
The applicant is required to submit application proforma E-02 along
with a set of original and photocopies including CNIC, Matric,
Intermediate certificate, Bachelor's Degree, Result Card and Deeni Sanad
along with Kashful Darajat duly verified from concerned Deeni
Institution through TCS to HEC Head Office, Islamabad.
Question19: I have done "Shahadat
ul Alia fil Uloomal Arabia wal Islamia" from HEC approved deeni
madrassah/Wafaq. Am I eligible for admission in formal Master's degree
involving 16-year of education?
Answer:
Yes, the students who are desirous to get admission in formal Master
degree (other than Islamic Studies or Arabic) in a University/DAI after
Shahadatul Aliya may opt any other two (02) elective subjects (other
than Islamic Studies or Arabic) in addition to compulsory subjects at
Bachelor (Pass) level as per their discretion.
